Chianti and Monteriggioni mountain bike tour

The Monteriggioni area is the perfect spot for a relaxing or challenging mountain bike tour.
The medieval hamlet surrounded by the original walls is something almost unique in Tuscany.
The meeting point is in the castle main parking lot. We provide english speaking local guide, full suspension bike and helmet rental.
there are many options for the Monteriggioni bike tour.
The Colle Val d’Elsa valley, with the gentle hills is the right choice for an easy bike tour for beginners or families with kids.
For a more challenging tour, we must head down to the southern Chianti hills. From these gravel roads and trails we can enjoy the magnificient views over chianti vineyards and smell the real Tuscany flavours. A quick wine tasting could also be included on one of the many wineries that can be found along the way,
The western side of the castle the hills called “Montagnola” is the place for advanced mountain bikers that are familiar with trails and singletracks and are not scared by rocks and roots. We have a XC mountain bike double ring with some uphills and fast flowing downhills, or a variety of technical trails and singletracks for Enduro bikers.
No matter which Monteriggioni bike tour you take, at the end of the tour we can enjoy a light lunch with local food at the castle.
